Meet Joseph Price

Finance and Operations Executive

Joseph is the Finance and Operations Executive at Witan Solicitors. He joined the firm in December 2025 and works closely with the Practice Manager and Senior Partner across the firm’s finance, operations, IT and recruitment functions.

Joseph brings to the role over seven years of experience in the legal sector, having begun his career as a Litigation Executive in the medical negligence team at a Birmingham law firm before moving into finance, where he spent six years as an Accounts Assistant supporting the day-to-day running of the practice. That dual background — case-handling on the one hand, finance and practice management on the other — gives him an unusually well-rounded understanding of how a litigation firm operates from the inside.

At Witan, Joseph supports the firm’s finance function across the full breadth of cashiering, credit control, purchase ledgers, billing and financial reconciliations, working closely with the Practice Manager to ensure the firm’s compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules and the smooth running of client and office accounts. As his role has expanded, Joseph has taken on increasing responsibility for the firm’s wider operations, including financial reporting, IT systems and recruitment — reflecting the variety and scope a smaller specialist firm offers, and his appetite for taking on new challenges.

Joseph is particularly interested in the intersection of IT and finance, where his attention to detail and aptitude for systems allow him to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. He brings a calm, methodical and reliable approach to his work, and has built strong working relationships across the team — qualities that help the firm operate seamlessly behind the scenes so that fee-earners can focus on their clients.
